So I got hired by the UFV Cascade newspaper to be their Heat correspondent this season! Coincidentally, they found me on CalgaryPuck when I was updating you guys with the happenings at training camp.
So I get a press pass, locker room access, I'll be at the post-game interviews, and ultimately writing articles on the Heat for the Cascade. It's not a paid job, but it's excellent experience for a journalist student to have.
Because I have to write for the Cascade first, I won't be able to update you guys until late at night, possibly after midnight PST, but I'll still try to keep you guys and gals up date.
I'm nervous out of my mind for Friday, so I hope media people are down to earth. Thanks to Freeway for the giving me the best advice I've gotten so far.
