I had a laptop (purchased in 2005) that I broke the screen on. It became both a test server and media terminal for me for a short time and then until about a month ago was at my mom's place as her desktop PC.

I would try and sell it, but if you think about it there are a few possibilities to make it useful. Think of it as a thinner, but wider, Mac Mini.
