You could order the display assembly by itself for probably less than half that. Even cheaper if you get just the LCD, but from what I've seen even I probably wouldn't try changing that myself.

Replacing even the whole assembly isn't for the inexperienced:

Might be some people willing to do it for a decent hourly rate.

Or you could sell the thing for parts and buy a new one, someone would probably be willing to buy the unit cracked screen and all in order to do the screen replacement themselves and turn around and sell it.
