I saw The Exorcist for the first time when I was 20, and I didn't shut my lights off when I went to bed that night. And it's still scary.
The 1978 version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers is creepy. The original Frankenstein and The Bride of Frankenstein are both masterpieces, but I consider them tragedies rather than horror.
