To me, a fag is somebody who's being a dumbass and an arsehole at the same time. Not somebody batting for the other team. That's the way it's been for me and everybody else I hang out with for as long as we can remember.
It isn't unfair to compare the words because they do the same thing, degrade the people

I am not condemning you for it, because like you said, you didn't realize what was so bad about it, I was simply trying to point out what it was really saying when you said that.
