I'm not so sure about that... I think kids without proper supervision act that way.
I was on the football team in highschool and the changing time from 3-3:15pm in the football locker room was a pretty terrifying experience for a lot of kids, hazing was out of control due to the fact that there was no teacher/adult presence in the locker room. You don't get that behaviour in a monitored English class... you get it when you leave kids to their own cruel and immature devices.
