It may sound harsh, but if the school districts had to pay the cost for all the students from the past 40 years who thought they were owed an apology to get said apology in person, imagine what that would cost taxpayers. He won't accept a written apology, nor the letter from the current superintendent that expressed regret about what he went through, then highlighted changes made in the school system to help thwart bullying & homophobia. At this point, I doubt anything would appease him, if it's bothered him this much over 42 years.
