So its the government of Canada's job to take care of citizens from other countries before its own citizens? If after all obligations to Canadians has been taken care of, the government can send all the money it wants to help the poor around the world (although lets be real, most Canadians will demand a tax cut if there's excess revenue left). But suggesting we should give money to other countries before actually taking care of Canadians? No thanks. You can donate to charity at your hearts content. But our government shouldn't be doing so until it takes care of us first.
