I can't let the kids play in the sand trap (although that would be awesome). However if instead of the course there was some green space and pathways I can definitely see how it would be a plus versus a golf course.

Sure, you can have an extra greenspace and park, with the added bonus of literally thousands of people being added to your neibourhood.
