I think the excuse that Romo doesn't have good enough weapons around him is laughable. Jason Witten was a great tight end for many years, Dez Bryant and T.O. are highly touted players he's played with, and Marion Barber/Felix Jones/Demarco Murray are all above average to very good running backs.

But look at guys like Victor Cruz, Jordy Nelson, Antonio Brown, Austin Collie or Lance Moore. Not touted at all, yet all were or are significant contributors to teams with QBs who helped elevate their play because thats what great QBs do, they make those around them better. Tony Romo, simply put, doesn't do that. He puts up really strong stats, but couldn't win you an important game ever. Basically he's a lot like Jeff George.
