This was not just an affront to one team, it was a huge slap in the face to the integrity of the entire league...not sure why some cant just accept that for what it is. Anyone who witnessed that should be able to admit it, and if they cant, they have to ask themselves why everyone and their dogs disagree with them.
As I said, its mainly Packer fans that toss on those other so so calls (one side of them anyways) as further justification why Seattle supposedly shouldn't have won.

The general public "outrage" is over the final call, that has gotten into the mainstream media and is up for debate. Most of the other fans know that those other judgement calls go, and have gone, both ways, in this game and in football week in and week out, replacements officials or not.

As for the specific PI peice, as was a big part of that link, which makes me think you didn't bother to see the points made with in it and just rolled out your opinion that you've made up your mind with from the start; the last 87 Hail Mary attempts there has been 1 PI called, and that was on the defense. Its one of those unwritten rules that goes both ways.

Bottom line...was the catch of the TD the wrong call? Possibly, maybe probably. But taking a look at links like this broken down a bit more then Gruden and Tirico making comments to the continent in the heat of the moment and without the benefit of detailed analysis, (and given that its' replacement refs, on Monday night etc etc) make you open your mind a bit more and think that its not such a blatant and egregious error as is/was/will continue to made out to be, or, quite as large as an "affront" or slap in the face to league integrity or whatever you want to make this out to be.
