Also, don't forget, McCarthy was the guy who scored the game-winning goal with 2.5 seconds left in the game to win game 7 of the Swiss playoff finals last season for Bob Hartley's ZSC Lions. Clutch.
It's definitely not bad, but I have to admit the amount of bodies in the AHL concerns me, we are going to have some decent guys down in the ECHL.

We have what?

Irving, Taylor & Brust in goal. Brust will be the loser and go to Utah.

Lamb, Martin, McKelvie, Breen, Callahan, Brodie, McCarthy, Tuzzolino & Piskula on the blueline. I have no idea how this will play out but 9 defensemen is quite a bit and I could even be missing lesser known guys on AHL deals or PTOs

Estoclet, Kolanos, Street, Bouma, Laing, Byron, Wahl, Nemisz, Walter, Sylvester, Horak, Cameron, Eddy, Reinhart, Ruegsegger, Howse, Aliu, Patterson, Bancks, Ferland & Baertschi fighting for jobs up front. 21 bodies up front, wow. I think it's a given that Cameron and Patterson will be in the ECHL and Wahl will probably be put on loan again. But that still leaves 18 giys all of whom are AHL capable.

I guess I will look at the bright side, the Grizzlies should be incredible this year.
