Azure, I was referring to your "Its just the same idea in a different form. Which is exactly what Apple does a lot of." comment.

They're not going to deviate from USB by creating something totally new like Thunderbolt. All computers use USB so if they attempted to innovate like you expect them to, they would alienate a lot of consumers.

If they came out with a cable using USB 3.0 you would have the same comment too. "That's not innovative. They're just repurposing existing technology. Which is exactly what Apple does a lot of."
