Crap like this is very much related to everything that is wrong with the way our culture treats womens sexuality. It's a declaration that women need to actively and constantly protect themselves to avoid their bodies becoming public property, that the society around them is actively hostile towards their privacy.

That it's considered normal that nude pictures of anyone can be put into the public domain without consent, and that it's perfectly normal for people to knowingly and willingly financially support people who make a living trying to take as dirty pictures of unwilling women as they can.

Also, those people broke a law. They were fined by the French court and were ordered to turn in all original copies to their rightful owners. Everyone who went to see these pictures effectively encouraged people like them to keep on breaking existing privacy laws. Privacy laws should be respected, not actively undermined in every turn.

I also hate people that go around telling everyone that I'm a pervert because I'm a man. That's one argument that keeps on popping up here, "everyone's doing it", that "every red-blooded man would want to see these pictures". This is obviously false, and I think it's just wrong to try to paint my whole gender as drooling idiots.

Stop trying to hide in the crowd and take responsibility for what you are doing.

It's about people wanting to look at nude pictures taken against someones will, and wanting to declare that this is okay and normal.

I can guarantee that Kate Middleton doesn't have the time of day for peasants like you and me as a good many celebrities are terrible people.

I don't resent her for her status...
