He ended up paying once he realized that the place I took it too for an inspection was cheaper than "his guy" and I wasn't trying to rip him off. Also, I had a pretty open and shut case (had witness who was willing to testify and I also recorded our phone conversations where he admitted fault) so the guy was just wasting his time stalling, and I think he realized that it was in his best interested to pay up.

Then a week later, some a-hole damaged our mirror when he banged into it while parking. Of course no note there either, just a nice streak of golden paint.

I'm slowly going crazy.
