"only a lot nicer and rarer" Mine was an RS/SS model(Basically an SS with hideaway headlights) with a 302 small block/4 speed (The 302 was mostly only shipped with the Z28's in 68-69) This engine was unbelievable, about 300 hp at the wheels as opposed to today's measurements off the flywheel, car was scary fast and beautiful. Anyway one nice day I was at a 7-11 with the top down and a guy from Vancouver walked up and said "nice car" I'll give you 10 grand for it! I thought hmmm, I sold it for 13 and smiled all the way to the bank.
A few years later a real car buff told me there were probably only 50 or so of these models ever sold with that engine and they were all special order.
Mine looked like this only with white top/strips and rally sport factory rims.
