ummmm it shows the Galaxy with a score of 1755, and the ASUS Nexus 7 with a benchmark of 1631, both higher than the 1601 score by the A6.

No, that is the average, so more people with different benchmarking scores have submitted to the database. At the time of the article it was what he mentioned in the article. And this goes back to my main point....why is there such a big range on scores on the S3...There is usually a small margin, of about 50-100 points, but not such a wide range, if everything was the same (but from what I understand rooting, custom roms, and overclocking is pretty common in Android compared to the iPhone world)
