I just played
Ascending Empires last night and loved it. 3 reasons:
the Starcraft-y theme,
the game mechanics are simple, logical and deep
and player movement is done by flicking pieces (think croquenot) which makes for intense and emotional moments (good and bad).
8/10 easily
