Of course getting it jumpstarts your ability to fight the virus, but if you continually get vaccinations and then one year you don't, your body may not respond as it hasn't had the jumpstart of the vaccination. I could be talking out of my ass, but I'm pretty sure thats how it works. Just like if you're constantly taking antibiotics, your body grows dependent on the treatment.
Obviously there are people who need it and should get it as they are high risk if they do get the flu, but personally as a relatively fit and healthy 23 year old, I see no reason why my body can't deal with the flu naturally.
