If Shane doesn't evict Dan he's the dumbest player in the history of the game. Going to the final three with Dan and Danielle means he's on his own because he can't be sure where she lies between Dan and himself. He has to know Dan isn't going to take him to the final two so may as well bring Ian who may or may not take him into the final. Taking Ian to the final three means he's guaranteed to be working in a 2 on 1 situation where he only has to worry about Ian. As long as Dan's around Shane should never know where her allegiance lies. You can't convince me that there is any good strategy in Shane keeping Dan over Ian in this situation. That said I don't have a lot of faith in Shane making strategic moves as that isn't one of his strenghts.
