Here is a video a full two nights before the game taken by members of the Canadian team right outside their hotel ( I believe that's Milan Borjan in the video with the laser pointers getting shined on him), I'm thinking it will only ramp up over the next two days - also guessing there are no noise bylaws in Panama:

Kind of a poor showing actually... just seems like a small pack of unemployed bums drinking and hanging out. They're certainly trying though. Also, the grandma dancing in the crowd is pretty awesome.
It happens for everybody that plays away in CA in important WCQs, not just the USA or Mexico.
