Just because I like coincidences...

2007: Top 10 ranked Big 10 team (Michigan) suffers all-time humuliating loss at home the year after a team from its conference loses the NCG. Big 10 has been irrelevent since, SEC dominates since.

2012: Top 10 ranked SEC team (Arkansas) suffers all-time humiliating loss at home the year after a team from its conference loses (and wins of course) the NCG.

Not suggesting it'll happen again, just interesting to point out.
