My favorite airports would be:
Frankfurt - giant but easy to find your way around.
San Diego - thought it was modern, nicely laid out and easy to navigate.

Newark
Vancouver
Edmonton
Calgary - would be among the worst for me but when I'm there it means vacation so that's a plus. The customs area is cramped and last time through some genius decided to put all the luggage from London, Paris, and Houston on the same baggage claim carousal...
Worst:
LAX - looks like a dump
Worst airline:
United - the staff are not very helpful from my experiences and they nearly lost our luggage last time
