I was approached by this same company to have my roof and siding done to my home. I called and made my claim. When I phoned my customer service person from Platinum up, they were very informative and helpful. They explained the process to me and made it very clear that there was no cost or obligation with their service (If it was a scam, wouldn't they want money????). When my adjuster came out, they tried to tell me that it was wear and tear on my roof and that the holes to my siding were not from the storm. I was upset and called Platinum to tell them that I had been denied and to close my file. My customer service person explained the differences between RCV insurance and ACV insurance to me. Again, she was full of knowledge that I didn't know about my own policy that I have been paying for. I called my insurance company back and followed the steps that Platinum had suggested. My insurance company came back out for another inspection. Platinum was also there and they all met on my roof. Platinum showed the adjuster the hail damage and asked them to explain how they can deny when it's very obvious. I won't go on with the details, but they approved my roof. The next thing was my siding. My insurance company tried to use something called fibernew on my siding. After speaking with Platinum and doing some research of my own, I refused the offer of fibernew from my insurance company. At this time, I asked Platinum to again step in. My customer service person spoke with my insurance company and I was able to get my house full re done with the ROOF and SIDING! I'm very appreciative to Platinum and the hard work that they did for me to help me.
In my opinion, after this ordeal, I'm more worried about my insurance company scamming me then Platinum.
