Airport express can remote your printer, which doesn't seem to be something you need - me neither I also use AirPrint. It can extend your wireless network if it's all Apple, which yours isn't - mine neither so I only use the express for music streaming. I have three stereos so three AEs. Turns out AppleTV works perfectly well just streaming audio so I was able to retire my oldest AE.
I wasn't able to figure out any integration between Apple and xBox or my cable so I have all three on my main media setup. (I did manage to control my Mac from my Wii controller (pointless).) in practice we use xBox only for games, cable box only for TV and Apple TV for all streaming (iTunes & Netflix)
