I don't think that he should just 'move on' that easily. I cannot stand that type of attitude and believe that he every right to be annoyed, especially if he does go to that station 3 to 4 times a week. I certainly wouldn't frequent that location anymore but you should write Esso a letter. It might not get you anywhere but I feel it's warranted. Write your letter, boycott the place, and then move on.
Like Rouge I also wrote Canadian Airlines after a problem and was given a $250 voucher for my trouble!!! (The trouble I had was horrendous though so I don't feel bad about it at all. You rest easy about your measly 100 bucks though Rouge. It was my $250 that put them in dire straits)
