I'm actually kind of excited about Baertschi playing in Abby. I think an NHL lockout at this point would do wonders for his developement. He may be NHL ready now, but using the AHL as a stepping stone can't do anything but good. He was a man playing with boys in the W. Stepping into the AHL for a season (or less) will get him accustomed to playing a faster pace with bigger guys. Say what you will about his 5 games.

I'm kind of rooting for a lockout at this juncture.
