I'm very baised toward CZ, one of my pistols is a CZ75 SP-01 Shadow bi-tone. Its by far the best handling pistol I have ever shot. Since you're asking MY opinion, I'll tell you what my observations were with the Beretta. First off, they have a good following, so they must be doing something right, secondly they are technically a "service pistol", so reliability has been proven (some US military branches use it as their side arm). I'm not big on their appearance overall (unless the Inox version), and I found the controls such as the slide release awkward for my hands. Some people just cannot shoot certain pistols because of ergonomics, so its best to try before you buy, like you did. Curious to know what others you have shot?
