Its not only gang members. There was a reality show once that followed police officers with cameras mounted in a first person perspective, and a few of the officers pointed their firearms sideways aswell....Kinda embarrassing...
As for why, I'm not sure...I'm not a gang member....Maybe you should ask this in the "I'm a gang member, ask me anything" thread?
