The second time was memorable for a different reason. There was a family there with 2 young daughters and one kept running around the front of the place (the area near the entrance is kind of like a giant candy store with jars of sugar treats and stuff) the whole time. It didn't really affect us as we were sitting in a booth at the back but it was kind of weird because they never told her to stop. Anyway, they get up to leave and the dad is standing at the door with the other daughter waiting to go and the other is still running around. The mom then proceeds to grab the spaz girl by her arm, throw her down on the booth seat, pull down her pants and starts wailing on her bare arse without a word. I was totally shocked (I'm sure my mouth was agape) and my wife stood up and asked her quite pointedly "Is that really necessary?!?", to which the woman responded "Yes it is!! She's been running around here the whole time!!!" Now the mom has forgotten about her daughter and now wants to yell about how she's doing the right thing because "She could have knocked any of these jars over" to anyone who wants to listen. She scooped up the girl and they went to the door and left, beaking all the way. We were done eating but it kind of ruined the meal. The old waitress came by and took our plates but no one ever referenced to the incident. It was like it had never happened.
But...peanut butter on burgers! Plus carbonated ice cream!!!

PB on a burger would probably make me want to wail on a kid for a couple of minutes too, but maybe it's tastier than I envision.
