I've read the comics up to date and I agree it moves at a snails pace.. it is almost painful to read.

A successful comic has to address the cliff hanger from the end of the last comic and have a solid transition into the next cliffhanger..

For me a cliffhanger isn't an entire comic of someone waiting on someone for something to happen. You can fill in any names and/or events in those someone's and it will be about 50-60 of the comics.
