I don't pray in the biblical sense. I rarely consciously ask for anything except maybe like, I hope I'm not late for an appointment. For prayer though I don't see anything wrong with Jesus' "Lords Prayer"
Quote:
The Lord's Prayer Words
(traditional)
Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
The power, and the glory,
For ever and ever.
Amen.

It's pretty simple and doesn't ask for a Mercedes Benz.

Matthew 6:7-8 (NET)
6:7 When you pray, do not babble repetitiously like the Gentiles, because they think that by their many words they will be heard. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. ŠNET Read More.
