I can see both sides here. People want to play with the team they worked hard to build, trade and draft for and don't want to simply watch a simulation. However, others want the success of their team to be dependant on their management skills and the strategies they implemented. And playing games isn't an indication of this since some of us can easily beat an AI even against a better team regardless of strategy.
The nice thing is that everyone has the luxury of simming or playing, but as we've been discussing the difficulty on the AI will have to be tweaked to get the right balance.
