That's a beautiful rifle you have inherited there. Very nice indeed. I know you don't intend to shoot it but would strongly recommend you take it to someone who knows what they are doing to have it cleaned and oiled before putting it into long term storage. Doing so will prevent rust from claiming it, even in a dry state like Phoenix.
You never know, one day you may want to put some rounds down range and taking care of it now will be of great benefit.
