Except for the fact that reporting posts is the most efficient way to deal with trolls.
If no one ever responded to offensive comments, trolls etc and just reported them and let the mods deal with it the forum would be better off.
Having some bizarre attitude like we're all 5 year olds on the playground who shouldn't tattle just causes threads to get derailed and cause flame wars between posters.
Oh and of course the fact that mods are constantly asking people to just report posts that need to be removed or whatever instead of having 20 people respond to it and start a flame war.
But I'm sure your way is good too.
