I own a 12 year old Seiko and a 7 year old Guess, and some $10 waterproof cheapie that I bought in San Juan PR because I didn't want to get my other two wet while swimming in the Caribbean.
The Seiko and the Guess were both gifts. If someone hadn't bought them for me I'd probably own a Timex or the like. A $25 watch works just as well for me as a $250 watch.
