Apparently the Brits quoted from an 80s law stating they could revoke an embassy's status in a situation like this, allowing them to then be able to enter and apprehend Assange. Seems quite the precedent to set for asylum seekers, though a Geneva Convention ruling apparently states diplomatic posts are the territory of the foreign nation. What a mess this thing is.
