One gender has a choice to become a parent after conception the other doesn't. Now since a women has a right to her body obviously the male cant demand an abortion but they should have the right to opt out of being a parent. Now this would probably negatively affect society but in terms of equal rights the current situation is very unequal.

I think this is pretty poor logic. You have a choice before she is pregnant. Once pregnant you have the responsibility to raise and support your child. The law is setup to protect the child first and foremost and what is best for the child is the prime concern. The child didn't chose to be borne into a single family home so why should you be allowed to punish it to spite its mom.
Keep in mind, that if a random encounter ends up with a pregnancy that is carried to term you do still have rights, specifically custody.
