I think it was Penny Arcade which coined the term "GIFT" to describe it (Greater Internet Fatawad Theory). But as I mentioned earlier, the Internet never seems to tire of the "if you're a woman, show us your boobs" or the "back in the kitchen" jokes. Far past its expiration date. And the ongoing usage makes me wonder if it's an actual issue rather than the non-serious humour it sounded like earlier...because they are as dead as Chuck Norris jokes.

I find it a bit intresting that when Michael Richards throws out racial slurs, his career dies, when Tracy Morgan says he'd pull a knife and stab him, he had to attend sensitivity classes...yet, when Tosh makes such comments, it's the offended party that's told to be less sensitive.

I don't have all the details on Tosh's joke, so I'm in no position to judge, but it's unusual from what I know.
He was making a rape joke, of some form, I forget the exacts, and a woman actually spoke up and said rape isn't funny, to which he exacerbated the situation by saying "Wouldn't it be hilarious if like, five guys came and raped her right now?" (Paraphrasing, but that's the gist of it)

One in four women is sexually assaulted. The chances that assault victims were in his audience is huge.

And then you have ######bags like Jeff Ross who are mediocre comedians, overweight and physically unattractive, attacking hugely successful Adele for her weight? Because a woman is nothing if she's not a size 6, regardless of her achievements.

-Who cares if an ugly man is paired with an attractive woman on TV? I got news for you. Upon meeting a woman, a man judges her for her attractiveness and that alone. If you don't pass the boner test, he will not stick around and get to know you for your sparkling personality. The sexes are vastly different, regardless of what Gender/Womens Studies/Liberals tell you.
-Yes, promiscuous women are sluts. They are a bad long term investment. Men value more chast behavior from women they wish to commit to. There are biological reasons for this. A man can never be certain of paternity where a woman does have certainty.

Go on, how else are the sexes "not even close" to being equal?
1) When is the last time a woman was a mass murderer? When's the last time a woman went on a shooting spree? Men are, in general, more violent in large scale events.
2/3) Thank you for reinforcing my points! Men don't care about a woman's mind, only where she lands on the 1-10 scale. And then they want to nail her, of course. But that would ruin her purity! So the woman has a choice--if she refuses to sleep with the man, she's a prude or a tease, how dare she refuse a man something that he wants? But if she DOES sleep with him, she's a slut, and obviously not worthy of a long-term relationship. Do you not see the issue here? Honestly?

As for how are men and women not equal? Who gets paid more? Who pays more for healthcare in the US? Whose reproductive rights are constantly being debated and impeded? Who are used merely as visual stimulation in advertisements? Who are constantly told to "get over it" when someone offends them? When a woman is raped, how often is it said "she was asking for it"?

There are a million ways that women are treated unfairly, and until you actually have a vagina, you have absolutely zero right to say that sexism doesn't exist.
