I totally agree, but you've got to imagine that whomever bought it is likely buying their first house and
probably is new to Calgary/Canada and probably wasn't fully aware what they were getting themselves in. I can imagine the developer downplaying any questions they had about it just to sell the lot.
Living in those houses is going to be downright hellish. The houses that back onto the SWLRT line are loud enough, and they are separated by a noise barrier, and a good amount of space. The fence in that picture doesn't even cover half of their main floor, add in the crossing bells, and.....yeesh that'll suck
