Sikome lake is actually pretty decent now. I've biked by there a few times and looks like a decent place to hang out on a hot day without having to travel out of the city.

Also, I was at Auburn Bay a couple of weeks ago and the facility they have there is really nice. You have to go in with someone from the community, but they have a decent beach. Would have been packed this past weekend i'm sure, but nice to have.

I'm sure by international standards that man made beach is terrible, but to my Calgarian eyes, I was very envious.
