Don't mean to nitpick but this is completely inaccurate. Using the "tennis ball" technique is somewhat useful if you can't get an actual muscle massage. But all it does is simulate a massage that you can do by yourself (not nearly as effective as an actual massage mind you). All your doing is applying pressure to injured, tight muscle fibers, ligaments, tendons which help them to relax and compress the nerves around the injured area.
