The correlation is not enough to go attributing a sexual orientation to specific individuals. I would imagine that a significant number of people who support gay rights are also gay. And Badger Bob or Calgaryborn may or may not be closeted gays, but the point is that using any such hypothetical in a mocking tone is in itself counterproductive... I mean, for the sake of argument and without suggesting one way or another, what if they actually were gay and struggling with their identities? Would it be appropriate to point and laugh? I can imagine that being in that position is for many people a very difficult thing to deal with; certainly difficult enough without also having to be mocked for it.

Not to mention, associating the people who are just closed-minded jerks with closeted gays who are attempting to come to terms with their sexual identity is pretty denigrating to the latter group.

Alternatively and perhaps more contentiously, "disinclude". While not yet canon English I hereby bless "disinclude" as a good word fully deserving of recognition, in accordance with the authority vested in me by my status as former English major.
