Honestly I don't believe they strive to bring in useless people. They do have criteria in that they always bring in a token gay person, colored person, elderly person, model, etc but I don't think they are looking for worthless people. You would be surprised how many useless people can get by an interview process looking like an all-star hire. On TV we know what's going on and who's working with who but in the house nobody really knows even if their closest ally is going to stab them in the back. I think the game is a lot harder than it looks from our point of view and the reason there aren't more all-stars is that it's hard to find out from an inerview who's going to crack in the house and who can handle the stress and pressure as you never really know that until the person is on the block.
