The problem is when they bring in 14 strangers you usually get a worthless cast, where the great majority of the players will be completely useless, and all the interesting players capable of making moves are gone right off the bat.
Just look at this season, of the new players how many of them are actually interesting on their own right? Somewhere around 3-4, then the rest a complete waste of time.
