How are they changing what it means to be married? You're married yes, to your wife whom I'm sure you love very much. Maybe you have lovely children or whatever your situation. How are any of these things or people affected by the fact that now two people down the street who are men are now married? I'm not trying to be condescending I just want to know.
EDIT: Also, is there really a change happening. Does the current law state that marriage MUST be between a man and a woman? I was under the impression that it was those who are AGAINST gay marriage that are trying to change the definition so that it does say "only between a male and female". Correct me if I'm wrong.
