Depends which dealers in Canada want to honour the warranty. Some may not want to. That being said if its a major problem with the car, you can throw it on a flatbed down to Great Falls (assuming from Calgary).
In B.C. this works great with Bellingham - only three hours and change from the Okanagan.
Hopefully if you're buying a new car this weekend in the US you already have the paperwork sent in to the border. They like to have it 72 hours in advance.
