Its mostly the loudmouths of America, who disparaged other countries (mostly European countries), that bring the bad name to the general populace. Yeah screw those Europeans and their higher quality of life, better health care and better education...huh? Perhaps if those blowhards were a bit more respectful, people wouldn't feel as strongly.

It also doesn't help continuously electing officials who act against the general populace's best interest in favour of corporate interests and lobbying groups best interests. Lobbying is truly the downfall of America. Which to bring a roundabout back to the topic at hand, no one has the balls to go up against the NRA, so gun rights will likely never change from their current status.
