I was wondering if you guys might be able to give me some input. I live in Calgary, but i travel to the states fairly often throughout the year, and instead of always getting the roaming packages put on my cell phone plan (which end up costing a lot!) I though this time around, to just pick up a US cell phone, and number.

Anyone know what the best way to go about it is? Is pay as you go the best route? or setting up a minimal plan with a company?

Has anyone done this before here?
