Yeah, I just can't get myself up for defending assault rifles. I have no interest in owning one, I don't see the practical use and I don't see much in the way of historical value.
Maybe, if you want an assault rifle, you should be required to take certification courses, special licensing (and the requisite background check that would require) and 6-8 months wait.
I mean, so what if I don't get my AK-47 until next year. I'm not planning on using it on a time-sensitive subject, right?
